SYMPTOMS

When you try to install MGI PhotoSuite II on a computer running Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows Millennium Edition, the installation may stop and you may receive the following error message:

Warning. Not enough space to install DirectX 6.1. Please free up some disk space.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, download the fix from the MGI Software Corporation Web site at www.mgisoft.com, called MGI PhotoSuite II DirectX Patch. To work around this behavior, run Setup from the command line with a -nodirectx option, without using the patch.

The patch fixes the issue of installing MGI PhotoSuite II version 1.03 on computers that have DirectX version 6.1a installed.
