SYMPTOMS

When you open an HTML file in one of the programs listed at the beginning of this article, some text may not be displayed.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if the following are true:

  • You created an HTML file that contains text that ends with an "e" with an acute accent. -and-


  • You created the HTML file by using one the programs listed in the "Applies To" section of this article. -and-


  • Your browser is the version of Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 that is included on the Microsoft Office 2000 CD1.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
