SYMPTOMS

You may notice multiple Recycle Bin icons in folders as well as in the root folder of your drives. These multiple Recycle Bin icons may not appear until you delete a file.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if you are using the net use or subst command to map drives.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.

MORE INFORMATION

When you have a folder mapped as a drive with the net use or subst command (possibly in the Autoexec.bat file), a Recycle Bin icon appears in the mapped folder.

If you right-click a Recycle Bin icon and then click Properties, you see a tab for each Recycle Bin.
