BUG: Include Files for the Project Are Not Found in Platform Builder 2.12

Article ID: 249809

Article Last Modified on 12/26/2003

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Windows CE Platform Builder 2.12

This article was previously published under Q249809

SYMPTOMS

Once the directories are set up for the include files for a project in Platform Builder version 2.12, the directories are not recognized if you start Platform Builder again.

You may get a error message similar to the following:

d:\WINCE212\public\TIMBATEC\cesysgen\sdk\inc\windbase.h(391) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'pwindbas.h': No such file or directory

RESOLUTION

Each time you start Platform Builder 2.12, you must go to the Tools menu, click Options, click Directories, and then click OK. Otherwise, the include files for the project will not be found.

After you click Tools, click Options, click Directories, and then click OK (without editing anything), the system will recognize the directories. Then you can compile and link the project without an error message or warning.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
