SYMPTOMS
You create a new e-mail message, and then click From Field, on the View menu of the message. You click From and select a name from the Global Address List (GAL), after the resolved name appears, you delete it. Next, you click From, select a different name from the GAL, and then send the message. When the recipient reads the message, your name appears in the From field, instead of the name you selected.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
