Explorer Displays Folder Dates Incorrectly on Netware Servers

SYMPTOMS

When you use Windows Explorer to view a folder list, the Last Modified time and date may be displayed incorrectly for folders.



CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are using Windows Explorer to read a Novell Netware Server.



RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, visit the Novell Technical Support Web site:

http://support.novell.com

To work around this issue, use one of the following methods:

  • Click File, and then click Properties for the folder you want. The Created Date of the folder is displayed.
  • Use File Manager (Winfile.exe) to view the Last Modified Date or Time.



STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
