XWEB: No Option to Gain Access to OWA with Internet Explorer 5 Using Code Path for Earlier Version Browsers

Article ID: 249557

Article Last Modified on 2/26/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q249557

SYMPTOMS

If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 to gain access to the Exchange 2000 Server version of Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA) and you experience problems because of a slow Internet connection, proxy settings, or firewall settings, there is not an option available to gain access to OWA by using the OWA code path for earlier version browsers (this can be beneficial when you are connecting to OWA over a slow Internet connection).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
