To allow compatibility with other systems that support Passport technology, Microsoft has converted its public ILS servers to use the Microsoft Internet Directory, based on the MSN Messenger Service, rather than maintaining ILS servers for public NetMeeting folders.
NOTE: NetMeeting still supports ILS server folders, which permits you to connect to ILS 2.0 server (NT4), ILS 3.0 (Site Server 3.0 or Windows 2000), or third-party ILS servers.
