SYMPTOMS

When you insert a Xircom CreditCard Ethernet Adapter 10/100-Ready PCMCIA NIC card (Xircom part # CE3B-100BTX) into a PCMCIA slot, Windows 2000 Plug and Play may not recognize it or install the drivers.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are using a Dell Latitude laptop.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, update the BIOS on your computer to revision X33 or later. For information about how to update the BIOS, please contact Dell Computers.
