SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to close Microsoft Excel after closing a workbook with circular references, you may receive one of the following error messages:
Windows 95/98
Windows NT
CAUSE
This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
- You calculate a workbook right before closing it.
-and-
- You close the workbook right before attempting to quit Excel.
-and-
- The workbook contains multiple circular references.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
