SYMPTOMS
When you are working in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, the shape of a Microsoft Excel 2000 embedded chart object may change.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when you embed an Excel chart object with a pie chart type, and do one of the following:
- You increase the width of a column on its associated sheet.
-or-
- You increase the height of a row on its associated sheet.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).

To temporarily work around this problem, create a link to the Excel chart object in a file, instead of embedding the Excel chart object.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
