SYMPTOMS
When you open your file in Microsoft Excel 97, some of your charts appear differently than in earlier versions of Excel. Data series that had appeared as a dashed line in earlier versions of Excel now appear solid. In addition, the data series print as a solid line rather than as a dashed line.
CAUSE
This problem may occur if you created the chart in Excel 5.0 or 7.0.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
