NetMeeting Does Not Recognize USB Microphone as a Valid Audio Input Device

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Audio Tuning Wizard in NetMeeting with a USB microphone, the wizard identifies the installed sound card as the audio input device source rather than the USB microphone and provides functionality based on the sound card's drivers.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because NetMeeting recognizes USB cameras, but not other USB devices, including USB microphones for input. At this time, NetMeeting requires a sound card device for audio input and functionality. This is documented in Knowledge Base article:
