SYMPTOMS
When you use the PivotTable Wizard to change the location of the source data for your PivotTable, Microsoft Excel stops responding and you receive an error message similar to the following:
If you click Details, you receive an error message similar to the following:
CAUSE
This problem may occur when the following conditions are true:
- Your PivotTable is based on data stored in a Microsoft Excel worksheet.
-and-
- The new data source that you specified in the PivotTable Wizard contains more columns than the previous data source.
-and-
- The new data source contains a large number or rows and columns.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
