SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel, certain financial functions may return an incorrect value.

CAUSE

Excel may calculate an incorrect value when the following conditions are true:

  • You are using one of the following worksheet functions provided by the Analysis ToolPak add-in:

    • ACCRINT
    • COUPDAYBS
    • COUPDAYS
    • COUPDAYSNC
    • COUPPCD
    • COUPNCD
    • DURATION
    • MDURATION
    • ODDFPRICE
    • ODDFYIELD
    • PRICE
    • YIELD



    -and-

  • The bond's maturity, settlement, or first interest payment takes place on February 29, 2000.

A Microsoft Excel 2000 Analysis ToolPak Update that resolves this issue is available for download from the following Microsoft Web site:
