SYMPTOMS
On a Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional-based computer, when you attempt to run the Hewlett-Packard OfficeJet R Series (R40, R60, R80) CD-ROM Setup program by using the autorun feature or Setup.exe in the root directory of the CD, the program version-checks and Setup does not run.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, from Windows Explorer, run the setup program at the following location on the CD:
\Install\OfficeJetR\Setup.exe
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
