SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to post to a folder that contains a default document, and you do not specify which document to post to, the Web server returns the following error message:
HTTP/1.1 Error 405 - Method not allowed
CAUSE
In order to post to a document, you must specify the document explicitly, for example:
<form method=post action=http://localhost/default.asp><input type=submit></form>
