XADM: When You Designate the Secondary Proxy Address as Primary, It Does Not Get Marked as Custom

Article ID: 247467

Article Last Modified on 2/27/2007

APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server Standard Edition

This article was previously published under Q247467

SUMMARY

When you have two proxy addresses and you designate the secondary address to become the primary, this change is not retained. After the secondary address has been changed to the default primary, the address should be designated "Custom," which overrides the addressing policy. However, this does not occur.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior is by design. Custom proxy addresses are not supported.
