ToolTips Do Not Appear When Browser Window Is Scrolled

SYMPTOMS

When you are using the <MAP> tag with <AREA>, <COORDS>, and <TITLE> with a large image that cannot be displayed entirely without scrolling, the ToolTip set by the <TITLE> property is not displayed when you scroll the image.

If you scroll back to the original unscrolled position, the ToolTip appears again as soon as you move the mouse pointer over the image area.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Internet Explorer version 5.01. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Internet Explorer version 5.01 Service Pack 2.
