SYMPTOMS

When you configure an AMD PCnet Ethernet Family PCI network adapter for 100 megabytes per second (MBps)/Half Duplex and connect it to a Cisco 100 MBps hub, the NetDiag utility on your computer incorrectly reports the media speed as 10 MBps, as does the network connection icon on the taskbar.

This occurs when you run Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional on an IBM Netfinity 5500 server.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
