SYMPTOMS

When you use Hypertext Markup Language Administration (HTMLA) to change the password in the Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Logging properties and then cancel the operation, you receive the following error message:

The password you entered does not match

This happens on a computer running either Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or Microsoft Windows 2000 Server. If you use the Internet Service Manager to modify the password, this behavior does not occur.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Microsoft Windows 2000 Server.
