SUMMARY
When the Message Categorizer categorizes local recipients, it requires the globally unique identifier (GUID) information for the home message database (MDB) object as part of the processing. While previously this information was obtained from the GUID of the Maildrop object (which has the first 32 bits representing the GUID of the home MDB), the possibility of corruption exists.
MORE INFORMATION
GUID information corruption can cause the Delivery Status Notifications (DSNs) for a local recipient to not be set and can cause non-delivery reports (NDRs) to disappear.
