SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to create a hyperlink to a bookmark on a page other than the one you are currently working on, the bookmarks do not appear in the Bookmark list in the Create Hyperlink dialog box.

CAUSE

The bookmarks listed in the Create Hyperlink dialog box do not appear because the page is not opened in FrontPage. This functionality was added to improve the performance of FrontPage.

RESOLUTION

To create a hyperlink to a bookmark on another page, use one of the following methods:

  • Open both pages in FrontPage. While both pages are open, you can select the bookmark you want from the Bookmark list in the Create Hyperlink dialog box.

    -or-
  • Type the path to the bookmark you want to link to. For example, if you have a bookmark called "bkmark" on a page called Mypage.htm, type the following in the Bookmark box:

    mypage.htm#bkmark
