SYMPTOMS

When you use the Tamil user input locale and try to enter the letter SHRI, the wrong glyph appears. This behavior occurs in both Notepad and WordPad on a Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional-based computer.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, you can form the letter SRI or SHRI by typing Sa + Vi + Ra + Ma + Ra + vowel sign II.

STATUS

This is by design.
