SYMPTOMS
You may receive an "Access violation" error message in Explorer.exe if drag-and-drop operations are disabled and you try to move two items in quick succession (for example, you drag two items on the Start menu).
RESOLUTION
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that this article describes. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
