vCalendar

Works Calendar information that was saved in the vCalendar format can be viewed in other programs that use the vCalendar format.

To back up Works Calendar information in the vCalendar format, follow these steps:

  1. Start Works Calendar.
  2. On the File menu, point to Export, and then click vCalendar.
  3. Under Range, enter the date range for the information you want to export.
  4. Under Include, select the appointments you want to export.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the Save in box, click to select the location where you want to save the file.
  7. In the File name box, type a file name for the Calendar information, and then click Save.

Tab Delimited

Works Calendar information saved in the tab delimited format can be viewed in a database or a spreadsheet program.

To back up Works Calendar information in the tab delimited format, follow these steps:

  1. Start Works Calendar.
  2. On the File menu, point to Export, and then click Tab Delimited.
  3. Under Range, enter the date range for the information you want to export.
  4. Under Include, select the appointments you want to export.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the Save in box, click to select the location where you want to save the file.
  7. In the File name box, type a file name for the Calendar information, and then click Save.

HTML

Works Calendar information saved in the HTML format can be viewed as a Web page.

To back up Works Calendar information in the HTML format, follow these steps:

  1. Start Works Calendar.
  2. On the File menu, point to Export, and then click HTML.
  3. Under Range, enter the date range for the information you want to export.
  4. Under Include, select the appointments you want to export.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the Save in box, click to select the location where you want to save the file.
  7. In the File name box, type a file name for the Calendar information, and then click Save.

The iCalendar format was first introduced in Microsoft Works version 8.0 and in Microsoft Works Suite 2005. Works Calendar information that is saved in the iCalendar format can be viewed in other programs that use the iCalendar format. To back up Works Calendar information in the iCalendar format, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, point to Export, and then click iCalendar.
  2. Select the date range and the other calendar information that you want to save, and then click OK.
  3. In the Save As dialog box, select the location where you want to save the calendar.
  4. In the File name box, type a name for the calendar.
  5. Click Save.
