FIX: DBO Unable to Alter Database Using Enterprise Manager

SYMPTOMS

If the owner of a database attempts to use Enterprise Manager to alter a database, the following SQL-DMO error occurs:

Error 22021: [SQL-DMO]You must be logged in as 'sa', or a member of sysadmin, or a member of dbcreator to perform this operation.

WORKAROUND

Use the ALTER DATABASE T-SQL command to alter the database instead.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server 7.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. For more information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
