MORE INFORMATION

There is a wealth of information about INTERIX in the product documentation, which is all available in electronic form with the product CD-ROM or the installed product. Much of this documentation is in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF); the PDF reader is provided on the INTERIX CD-ROM.

Product documentation includes:

  • Complete man pages, available through the man command.
  • The Getting Started document in the INTERIX Program Group, which contains the necessary installation and start-up information. You can access this by clicking the Start button, pointing to Interix, and clicking Interix Getting Started.
  • The INTERIX Online Library, which contains a collection of PDF "books". You can access it by clicking the Start button, pointing to Interix, and clicking Interix Online Library:

    • User guides for the Workstation/Server and Software Development Kit. The user guides contain information relating to such topics as configuring and tuning your INTERIX desktop environment, working with tape drives, and porting source code from UNIX to Microsoft Windows NT with INTERIX.
    • Reference manuals that contain page aligned and printable formatted man pages.
    • Our copyrights, Year 2000 statement, and various other guides.

The product documentation is also available in the Pubs directory of the INTERIX CD-ROM.
