SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to start Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000, you may receive the following error message:

System error.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the following conditions are true:

  • An ATI Rage 128 video adapter is installed in the computer.


  • Version 4.11.1.2126 of the video driver for the ATI Rage 128 video adapter is installed on the computer.


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain and install the latest video driver for the ATI Rage 128 video adapter from the following ATI Technologies Inc. Web site:
