SYMPTOMS

The Windows Media Server log file may contain some entries that appear corrupt or have partial and missing data.

Older Beta versions of the Windows Media Player for Macintosh (prior to version 6.3) report statistics incorrectly to the Windows Media Server.

Upgrade the Windows Media Player for Macintosh to the most recent version available at the following location:

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Windows Media Services version 4.0.
