SYMPTOMS

After you upgrade your Hewlett Packard Pavilion 8560c computer to Windows 98 Second Edition, you may not be able to resume your computer from Standby Mode by pressing the Standby key on your multimedia keyboard.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if your computer is using a revision of the the HP Hawk Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) earlier than version 1.03.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain and install the latest BIOS version for your computer from Hewlett Packard. For information about how to do so, please view the following Hewlett Packard Web site:
