MORE INFORMATION

If your computer is equipped with a pen, you can add pen comments, which are comments you can insert directly in the document window with a pen. Word treats a pen comment like any other drawing object. Pen comments don't appear in the comments pane, and Word doesn't insert comment marks in the document window.

To insert a pen comment, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Customize, and then click the Commands tab.
  2. In the Categories list, click Insert.
  3. Drag Pen Comment from the Commands list onto any displayed toolbar or menu.
  4. Click the Pen Comment button, and then write the comment directly in the document window.
