FIX: Analyze and DDUPD Return "Out of Memory"

SYMPTOMS

When running Analyze.exe or Ddupd.exe on a SourceSafe database, you may receive an error "Out of memory". This typically occurs when you have many files that are labeled.

RESOLUTION

Also, a supported fix for Visual SourceSafe 6.0 that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but it has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to systems experiencing this specific problem.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This bug was corrected in the latest service pack for Visual Studio 6.0.
