SYMPTOMS
When you paste text that consists of several paragraphs into a text form field in Microsoft Word 2000, only the first paragraph is pasted.
CAUSE
This happens when the text was copied to the clipboard in one of the following ways:
- From another application; for example, Microsoft Excel or Notepad.
- From another form field.
- From the same document while unprotected (and the document is then protected and the clipboard contents pasted into a form field).
The problem does not occur when the text is copied to the clipboard from Internet Explorer or from another unprotected Word document.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
