SYMPTOMS
Site Server Search does not index the Exchange Server integer custom property. The Site Server online documentation is incorrect in suggesting that Site Server Search can do this.
CAUSE
The Exchange Server protocol handler for Site Server 3.0 only emits MAPI-named props of the following types into the index:
PT_UNICODE
PT_STRING8
PT_SYSTIME
MV_FLAG|PT_UNICODE
MV_FLAG|PT_STRING8
In other words: strings, dates, and multi-value strings.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Exchange Server 5.5. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
