SYMPTOMS

When you change the language setting on a page in FrontPage to English (British) or English (Canadian), some words that are spelled differently from U.S. English are not marked as misspelled or detected by the spelling checker.

CAUSE

FrontPage uses the English (United States) dictionary, even when English (British) or English (Canadian) is specified.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft FrontPage 2000.
