SYMPTOMS
When you open a saved publication in Microsoft Publisher, you may see one or more fonts incorrectly listed as Status: Unavailable, in the Load Fonts Window. You may see this message even though the font is installed on your computer. When you click OK, the publication opens, and the font is available.
CAUSE
Fonts that do not conform to the TrueType standard may not be correctly identified by Microsoft Publisher.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).

WORKAROUND
To work around this issue, open the publication anyway. If the font is installed in the Fonts folder, the font will be available, even though it is listed as unavailable in Publisher 2000.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Publisher 2000. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
