BUG #: 17757 (SQLBUG_65)
SYMPTOMS
SQL Server may generate a handled access violation (AV) when executing a stored procedure that inserts or updates a table with rules. This will only occur if the parameters passed to the stored procedure are of greater length than the parameters passed when the plan was originally compiled.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use column or table level constraints rather than rules.
