Summary: To use the SORT statement in Versions 1.x of MS COBOL, the Microsoft SORT utility is required. (MS SORT is a product marketed separately by Microsoft.) Linking the COBOL libraries provided with MS SORT and the COBOL source code will enable file sorting.
