In Microsoft Outlook, the Default archive file setting for AutoArchive is configurable through the registry.

In Outlook, you set AutoArchive on an individual folder by right-clicking the folder, by selecting Properties, and by clicking the AutoArchive tab. When you do this, the settings are saved in an IPC (hidden) message within the folder in the information store. The settings are not configurable in the registry.
You can change the client registry to modify the AutoArchive file name in the profile. However, if the user has multiple profiles, you must know which profile to modify, or you must modify all the profiles.
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall the operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
- Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).
- Locate the following key in the registry:

- Open the profile that you want to modify.
- Select the following key:

Depending on what you must change, you must examine one of the following values:
- 001e0324
- 001e032c
- 001f0324
The location and the file name that are set in the Tools\Options\AutoArchive\Default Archive File folder map to 001e0324 in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 and to 001f0324 in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.
The location and the file name that are set in the File\Archive\Archive File folder map to 001e032c in Outlook 2003 and to 001f0324 in Outlook 2007.
