SUMMARY

Outlook special folders cannot be renamed from within the Outlook client interface, and must be modified using the Microsoft Exchange Client.

The Exchange client is provided with the following products:

  • Microsoft Office 97
  • Outlook 97 stand-alone version
  • Windows 95 (Inbox)
  • Exchange Server 4.0

If you are using a version of Outlook that was upgraded from Outlook 97, you may be able to locate the Exchange client on the local machine. To do so, use the Find/Search utility provided in Windows and look for the file named Exchng32.exe. If you do not find the file on the local machine, you have to obtain the Exchange client through one of the products listed in this article.
