Change the default home page from Default.htm to Index.htm
To change the default home page from Default.htm to Index.htm, follow these steps.
Microsoft Personal Web Server 1.0
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click the Personal Web Server icon.
- Click the Administration tab.
- Click Administration.
- Click WWW Administration.
- Click the Directories tab.
- Click Default Homepage.
- Rename Default.htm to Index.htm.
Microsoft Personal Web Server 4.0
- In the System Tray, right-click the Personal Web Server icon.
- Click Properties.
- In the Personal Web Manager dialog box, switch to the Advanced view.
- In the Default Document(s) text box, rename Default.htm to Index.htm.
- Close the Personal Web Manager dialog box.
