SYMPTOMS
If a connection is configured for Incoming Calls and is using a Distributed Link Service, the connection will never become active when the remote node calls in. No errors and no events are logged on the SNA Server when this problem occurs.
CAUSE
The Remote Link Service checks against the registry value AllowIncoming, which has not been not defined.
RESOLUTION
SNA Server 3.0
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for SNA Server version 3.0. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

SNA Server 4.0

STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server versions 3.0, 3.0 SP1, 3.0 SP2, 3.0 SP3, 4.0, and 4.0 SP1. This problem was first corrected in SNA Server 3.0 Service Pack 4.
