SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Outlook, if you drag a task to the Calendar and edit the task information in the appointment item, the changes will not be reflected in the original task after you save and close the appointment item.
CAUSE
This behavior is by design.
RESOLUTION
To ensure that the appointment item and the task item contain the same information, make all changes to the task prior to dragging it to the Calendar. If changes are made to the task first, the changes will follow when the task is made into an appointment.
MORE INFORMATION
When a task is added to the Calendar by dragging it from the TaskPad, the task then becomes an appointment. Because the item is no longer a task, any changes made within the appointment item will not appear in the task item.
