To create an X.400 e-mail address in the e-mail field of a contact, you must create it as if you were creating a one-off address (in this message only), by using the following steps:
- On the Contact record Tools menu, click the Address Book and click New.
- Click to select In This Message Only, and click to select, X.400 Address, and then click OK.
- Type the information needed on the General tab of the X.400 Properties.
- If you do not want to send to this recipient in Outlook Rich Text format, click to clear, "Always Send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange Rich Text Format" on the Advanced tab.
- Click OK.
To edit an existing X.400 e-mail address, follow these steps:
- Double-click the X.400 e-mail address.
- In E-mail Properties, you can change the Display Name, E-mail Address, and E-mail type, and toggle the "Always Send to this recipient in Microsoft Exchange Rich Text Format."
