SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft Project 98, when you edit the timephased percent complete for a task in the Task Usage view, you may see a different value than you entered for the task.
CAUSE
This behavior is more likely to occur when the following conditions are true:
- The task duration is a large value, for example, a year or longer.
- The timescale shows only months, quarters, or years.
- The timephased work contour has been manually edited.
RESOLUTION
To correct this problem, install Microsoft Project 98 for Windows Service Release 1 (SR-1).
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Project 98 for Windows, ServiceRelease 1 (SR-1).
