SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to connect to shared folder by clicking Start, clicking Run, typing the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path to the folder in the Open box, and then clicking OK, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This error message can occur if the share name of the folder to which you are attempting to connect contains more than 46 characters.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior, rename the folder's share name using less than 46 characters, or contact your network administrator.
