SYMPTOMS

Windows NT may report a cyclic redundancy error (CRC) or stop responding (hang) when trying to access the Winstation SLS120 disk drive. You must either reset or turn off the system to recover.

CAUSE

Incorrect information was being specified when performing a read from this device.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 4.
