SYMPTOMS

When you try to use Dial-Up Networking to connect to another computer (such as your Internet service provider), or when you try to connect to your Handheld PC (H/PC) using Microsoft Windows CE Services, you may receive one or more of the following error messages:

NETMETER caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000:88595f1e

-or-


RNAAPP caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000:88595f1e

-or-


RUNDLL32 caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0157:bff79fcf.

NOTE: The memory address in any of these error messages may vary.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are running the Starfish Internet Utilities 97 program called Netmeter. Netmeter is not compatible with Windows 98 or Windows Millennium Edition (Me).


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, uninstall Netmeter. For information about how to do so, consult the documentation included with Netmeter.
