SUMMARY

This article lists some of the known issues in Microsoft Pocket Outlook.

MORE INFORMATION

You may experience any of the following issues when you use Pocket Outlook on a Handheld PC (H/PC) or Palm-size PC:

  • When you send an e-mail message using Pocket Outlook, Windows CE may stop responding (hang) if there are many entries on the To line.
  • When you send an e-mail message while you are offline, you may not be able to edit the message.
  • Extended characters may not be displayed correctly on an H/PC or P/PC.
  • You can only synchronize e-mail information from the following e-mail clients:

    • Microsoft Exchange
    • Microsoft Outlook 97
    • Windows Messaging Client
  • When you print from Pocket Outlook using A4 size paper, the printer may not eject the final page of the print job automatically.
  • You cannot print drawings or handwriting from Pocket Outlook. You can only print text entered with a keyboard.
  • If you add information to Notes in Pocket Outlook using a cut-and-paste operation, text and images in the note may overlap.
  • When you accept group scheduling requests using Pocket Outlook, items sent as "private" are not scheduled as "private" in Pocket Calendar.
  • When you restore a Windows CE version 1.0 backup, e-mail messages may not be linked to e-mail messages on the desktop computer.
  • If your Internet service provider uses checks for RFC821 compliance, you may receive the following error message:

There was an error specifying your return address to the server

To work around this error message, you may need to synchronize, and then send e-mail from your desktop computer.
